Burqa is ban in India can stop terrorism?

A burqa is an outer garment worn by women in Islamic society for the purpose of concealing their face.

The Quran say about burqa:- The Quran has no requirement that women cover their faces with a veil, or cover their bodies with the full-body burqa.

Shiv Sena, a regional political party of India called for a ban on use of burqa (nikab) for national security. The Hindu sena has written a letter to the home ministry in the wake of Sri lanka Easter terror attack. [ the message demanded a complete ban on wearing the abaya and hijab, burqa, nikab that cover face at social place]

Bjp opposed burqa ban demand by shiv sena-Athwale said- “Not all women who wear burqa are terrorists, if they are terrorists their burqa should be removed. It’s a tradition and they have the right to wear it, there shouldn’t be a ban on burqa in India.”

Burqa’ is not the only form of full face veil practiced in India. India faces a peculiar situation as not only certain members of minority community wear full face veils, sections of the majority community also practice ‘purdah’ or wear a ‘ghoonghat’ in different forms and in varying degrees. There is no law that bans or criminalises a full face veil, which is deeply embedded in the majority and minority community as part of the culture.

There’s should not be a ban on the burqa in India. ( according to freedom of religion, every citizen residing within the territory of India has the right to follow the religion they believe in.)
